Orange County Central Men's Jail
The Central Men’s Jail in Orange County, California houses 1433 inmates. Among OC Men’s Central Jail inmates are those that have already received sentencing, as well as those awaiting trial under maximum security. Visitation Information
The Orange County Central Men’s Jail is located at 550 N. Flower St. Santa Ana, CA 92703. Visitation is held Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of each week. The check-in times and closing times are different for each housing location.
- Modules C-15 and C-16: Check-in at 7:30 am;Window closes at 7:45 am.
- General Population: Check in at 8:30 am; Window closes at 5pm
- Module D-19, D-20, F-29, & F-30: Check in at 9:00 am; Window closes at 9:15 am.
- A-03, A-04, C-13, & C-14: Check in at 11 am; Window closes at 11:15
- Modules O/R & Sheltered Living: Check in at 1:00 pm; Window closes at 1:15 pm.
- DIS/ISO Overflow: Check in at 3:00 pm; Window closes at 3:15 pm
Visiting times are subject to change without notice. Inmates may refuse visits during mealtimes: 10:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.
Inmate Mail
All incoming and outgoing mail is subject to search prior to delivery. Inmates can send and receive unlimited correspondence, unless there is reasonable cause to justify limitations (i.e., public safety, facility order, violation of state or federal law).
To send mail to an inmate at OC Central Men’s Jail, the inmate’s name and booking number is required. Write it above the address. The following is an example for addressing mail to an Orange County Central Men’s Jail inmate.

Inmate Accounts
Inmates may have checks (state/city/county or US Government checks) and money orders deposited into their accounts. Checks must be made payable to the inmate. Money orders must be made payable to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, with the inmate’s name and booking number written on the money order’s reference line. The money deposited into their accounts is made available approximately 30 minutes afterwards. Money orders may be deposited at the Jail Cashiering office or mailed to the inmate. Government checks must be mailed to the inmate for tracking purposes and must be endorsed by the inmate prior to being deposited. No personal checks, traveler’s checks, or cashier’s checks are allowed for inmate accounts. Also, it is forbidden for inmates to possess monies.

Bail Payments
Bail may be paid in the form of bank cashier’s checks, personal checks, traveler’s checks, or money orders at the Intake Release Center Cashiering Office. No third party checks or business checks are accepted. Bail for certain defendants can only be paid by cash or check. To verify an inmate’s full name, booking number, the amount owed, and what payment methods are acceptable, call Inmate Records at (714)647-4666.
Bail Bonds: Bail bonds are accepted at the Theo Lacy Facility and at the Intake Release Center. The Sheriff’s Department cannot suggest or direct you to a bail bond agency to purchase a bond. Persons who bring in bail bonds and are not licensed bond agents will be fingerprinted and have their identities verified.
