Portola Courthouse is located at 600 South Gulling, Portola, CA, 96122. The courthouse is located in the Sierra Nevada foothills, approximately 60 miles northeast of Sacramento. The courthouse was built in 1852 and is the oldest courthouse in California that is still in use. The courthouse is the seat of Plumas County and houses the Superior Court of California, County of Plumas.
The Portola Courthouse is a two-story building constructed of brick and stone. The building is surrounded by a wrought iron fence and has a clock tower on the west side. The courthouse grounds include a lawn area and a parking lot.
The courthouse is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., except for court holidays.
