The Superior Court is responsible for handling all criminal and civil cases in Imperial County. The Public Defender represents defendants who cannot afford an attorney, and Probation oversees adult and juvenile offenders who have been sentenced by the court. The Child Support department helps parents with collecting and disbursing child support payments, and the Family Law Facilitator provides information and assistance to people with family law matters. The Self Help Center offers resources and assistance to people who are representing themselves in court.
