The San Diego Hall of Justice, located at 330 West Broadway in downtown San Diego, is the county courthouse for the Southern District of California. The building houses courtrooms and offices for the U.S. District Court, as well as the San Diego County Superior Court and other county offices.
The Hall of Justice was built in 1966 and is a 14-story building. It is adjacent to the Edward J. Schwartz Federal Courthouse and the San Diego County Administration Center. The building is located near public transportation and several parking garages.
The courtrooms in the Hall of Justice are used for criminal and civil trials, as well as for hearings and other proceedings. The building also houses the offices of the U.S. Attorney, the Public Defender, and the Clerk of Court.
The Hall of Justice is open to the public from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Security screening is required before entering the building. Visitors must pass through a metal detector and have their bags and belongings scanned by x-ray. Weapons, food, and drinks are not allowed in the building.
